Abstract and Poster Guidelines
Abstract submission deadline May 15, 2014
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Coordinators. Participants are invited to submit an abstract to be considered as a presentation. Abstracts will be presented at the Poster Session in the Pre-conference area of the Radisson Hotel. After the conference, the abstracts will also be available online.
Poster Presenters must be registered, fully-paid conference delegates. A Delegate Registration form must be completed, and returned to the Conference Coordinator with full payment in Canadian funds. Abstracts will not be accepted without full payment.
a. Title, author (s) name (s) and their affiliation (s). Letters should be in letters not less than 1 inch (2.54 cm) high and preferably 2 inches (5 cm) high.
b. Introduction, materials and methods, results, and discussion. Presenters should select a font and letter size to allow viewers to read the poster from a distance of 4 feet (1.2 meters) or more. (Note: A Matte finish on the posters provides better visibility as it reduces glare).
c. Consider less rather than more words within your poster, and refrain from using very small font for your poster.
d. Posters will be on display during the conference and should carry your message without requiring any additional comment.
e. Material presented must be based on the abstract previously submitted and should be novel, not previously published material.

Each registered attendee can be the “Presenting Author” on only one poster abstract, although they may be a “Non-Presenting Author” on an unlimited number of abstracts. Abstracts are limited to 250 words. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Coordinators to ensure the abstracts are relevant to the meeting theme. You should consider your abstract accepted,unless otherwise notified by May 15, 2014.
Each associated poster presentation must measure a maximum of 36 X 48 inches (91 X 102 cm). Each poster will be mounted vertically and will occupy one-half of one side of a freestanding, poster display board. The poster board will accommodate pushpins and will be Velcro-receptive. Presenters will be responsible for supplying their own Velcro or pushpins for hanging their posters.

You are invited to setup your poster after 7:00 am on Wednesday June 11. Poster numbers will be printed in the Final Program and noted on the poster boards. All posters will remain up for the entire length of the meeting.
Presenting authors are expected to be available near their poster to answer questions and engage discussions. Poster session time is Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
If your plans change and you cannot attend and/or will not be displaying your poster, kindly inform us at firstname.lastname@example.org
All posters must be removed following the conference by 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 12. Posters remaining on site will not be retained or returned.
