Teaching Early in Your Career (or, What I Wish Someone had Told Me) (August 10/22)

In a typical academic position, teaching is supposed to account for 30-40% of your job. (Some academic positions, even at universities, are 100% teaching.) But even if you’re exiting academia, if you’re teaching now, it’s good to do so in a considered and thoughtful way. In this talk, Dr. Dyer will offer advice based on his own teaching experiences, concentrating on what would be useful for someone early in their career.

Date and Time: Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 1 - 2 pm NT
Mode: Online
Presenter: Dr. Danny Dyer, Professor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and Turkuler Durgut
