This summer, the Ontario Teachers' Federation is offering a variety of professional learning events that give you time to learn, reflect on your classroom practice, and collaborate with peers. Experienced teacher facilitators bring you rich, relevant professional learning which focus on mathematics, technology and First Nation, Métis, and Inuit perspectives.
These summer institutes will focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Enhancing expertise in Mathematics pedagogy
- Using technology to enhance learning
- Infusing First Nation, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) perspectives into the curriculum
At each workshop, participants will come together with colleagues to reflect on their teaching practice, draw on the expertise of teacher leaders and peers, share what works and what does not, network and collaborate, examine resources and programs that are available from a variety of organizations and asses how these resources may be used in their classrooms.
A registration fee of $50 covers workshop materials, on-site meals and two nights of shared accommodation.
Participants may also be eligible for a transportation subsidy. See our FAQ page for more information.
This $50 fee will be reimbursed upon successful completion of a workshop.
