AFCA 2020 Conference and Trade Show
The Alberta Fire Chiefs Association will be hosting its 73rd Annual Conference, AGM and Trade Show at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, Edmonton, Alberta. The Conference will be held from Sunday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
Delegate Registration Fee Details
- Entrance into the Trade Show; all plenary sessions and conference streams.
- Trade Show welcome reception on Sunday May 24 will be held in Hall E and Hall F of the Edmonton EXPO Centre.
- Breakfast and lunch each day
- BBQ on Monday, May 25 in the Ballroom, Edmonton EXPO Centre following the trade show.
- AFCA Annual Banquet with entertainment on Tuesday, May 26 in the Ballroom, The Sutton Place Hotel.
- Coffee breaks
Trade Show is scheduled on Sunday, May 24 from 17:30 to 20:30 and again on Monday, May 25 from 09:00 to 16:30 in the Halls, Edmonton EXPO Centre.

Substitution and Refund Option
Delegate registrations are non-refundable AFTER Friday, April 24, 2020. If you are unable to attend the conference, a substitute participant from your organization may attend in your place.
AFCA BBQ - Monday, May 25
The AFCA will host a BBQ in the Ballroom, Edmonton EXPO Centre on Monday evening. The BBQ is included in a full delegate registration fee.
Tickets can be purchased for guests and day pass registrants through the registration site. The BBQ ticket is $43.00 plus GST.
AFCA Annual Banquet - Tuesday, May 26
The AFCA is delighted to have the Grand Dueling Piano Show perform at the AFCA Annual Banquet on Tuesday, May 26 in the Ballroom of the Sutton Place Hotel.
The Grand Dueling Piano Show presents you with a world-class performance you won’t forget. Combining the talents of Sean Sonego, Katie Perman and Spenser Poole, the GDP show provides you with a high-octane, all request party. It’s all about fun when they hit the stage together, and a combined 15 years of career experience makes it effortless. You’ll witness dance routines, crowd interaction, kazoos, and non-stop laughter as they play their way through the likes of Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Johnny Cash, The Backstreet Boys, Beyoncé, Eminem and pretty well everything else.
The Banquet ticket is included in a full delegate and partner registration fee.
Additional tickets can be purchased for guests and day pass registrant through the registration site. The Banquet ticket is $70.00 plus GST.
The AFCA will have the Conference App at the AFCA 2020 Annual Conference and Trade Show. The App will include the agenda; speakers; trade show floor plan; the ability to communicate between delegates, amongst other features. Stay tuned as we get closer to the Conference and Trade Show. The app will be available to all registered delegates, trades and partners.
Complimentary Shuttle Service
The AFCA is providing complimentary shuttles from the Sutton Place Hotel and Westin Edmonton Hotel to the Edmonton EXPO Centre on Sunday, May 24, Monday, May 25 and Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Shuttle schedules will be available on the mobile app and posted in the lobby of the two hotels and the Edmonton EXPO Centre.
Alberta Fire Service Instructors Symposium – Friday, May 25 AND Saturday, May 26
The fee for the Instructors Workshop is $xxx.00 plus GST. Space is limited and Delegates can purchase this pre-conference session by visiting *********** to complete your registration.
Donations for the AFCA Silent Auction
The AFCA would be pleased to accept silent auction donations and the benefactor will be the Edmonton Firefighters Burn Treatment Society.
The Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society is managed and operated by Edmonton firefighters who volunteer their time. Monies raised are presented to the Firefighters Burn Unit, University of Alberta Hospital. The FF BTS designates that the funds be used to purchase new specialized equipment for the burn unit ensuring enhanced patient care and for the continuing education of burn treatment staff to remain current in new treatment techniques and for funds to be designated to the burn camp held annually.
