Trade Member Information

The Alberta Fire Chiefs Association will be hosting its 72nd Annual Conference, AGM and Trade Show at the Westerner Park and The Cambridge Red Deer Hotel & Conference Centre in Red Deer, Alberta.  The Conference will be held from Sunday, May 26 to Wednesday, May 29, 2019.  The Trade Show is scheduled on Sunday, May 26  from 17:00 to 20:00 and Monday, May 27 from 09:00 to 16:30.
 

Set-up time for Trade Show participants takes place Sunday, May 26 from 08:00 to 15:00 for all inside trade show booths. All inside Apparatus will commence parking at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26.  You must be a registered Trade Member of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association to participate in the 2019 Trade Show.

 

All display materials must be loaded in by 15:00.  A forklift and operator will assist with movement of crates for the inside trade show booths. This service is complimentary to the AFCA trade members.  If a trade requires assistance to move crates and boxes they must arrive early to ensure a smooth load in and movement on the trade show floor. 

 

No vehicles will be allowed inside Stockmen’s Pavilion and Exhibition Hall except fire apparatus. 

Registration for an Inside Trade Show Booth includes:

  • One Trade Representative, Welcome Reception on Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Monday.
  • Booth size is 10’x 10’ with 8’ back wall drape and 3’ sidewall drape.
    • Booth includes one skirted table, 2 folding chairs and 1 - 1500 watt outlet
      • Additional power can be purchased, please make arrangements directly with Goodkey Show Service.

  • The trade show floor in the Stockmen’s Pavilion and Exhibition Hall does not have carpet.  Carpet for trade show booths can be ordered through Goodkey Show Service.  
Please list your three (3) choices of your booth space in the on-line registration form.  Booths are assigned on a first come first paid basis.

Loading Access to Stockmen's Pavilion and Exhibition Hall

  • Set-up time for the inside trade show booths takes place on Sunday, May 16 from 08:00 to 15:30.
  • A forklift and forklift operator will assist with movement of crates for the inside trade show booths. This service is complimentary to the AFCA trade members. If a trade requires assistance to move crates and boxes they must arrive early to ensure a smooth load in and movement on the trade show floor.
  • All inside Fire Apparatus will commence parking at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26.
  • Display material can be loaded in through loading bay door #1 in the Stockmen's Pavilion and loading bay door #2 and door #3 in the Exhibition Hall. Door #3, is dock level.
  • No vehicles will be allowed inside Stockmen's Pavilion and Exhibition Hall except fire apparatus.
  • Fire Apparatus will enter Stockmen's Pavilion through loading bay door #1 and enter Exhibition Hall through loading bay door #2.

Registration for Inside Apparatus includes:

  • One Trade Representative, Welcome Reception on Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Monday.
  • Tables and chairs are available at additional costs. Please make arrangements directly with Goodkey Show Services
Apparatus and display materials must not exceed the assigned space inside Stockmen's Pavilion and Exhibition Hall.  
 
Other items available to Trade Members, at an additional cost, include:
  • Additional Booth Space
  • Additional Trade Assistant Registration.  The fee includes Welcome reception on Sunday, breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks on Monday.
  • Tickets for the Monday evening BBQ which is held in the Prairie Pavilion, Westerner Park are $43.00 plus GST. 
  • Tickets for the Tuesday AFCA Annual Banquet and Entertainment which will be held at the Cambridge Red Deer Hotel & Conference Centre are $70.00 plus GST.  
When registering on-line please list all the Trade Assistant names. The trade assistant names are required for the name badges and to prevent delays at the registration table.

The AFCA Trade Show Service provider is Goodkey Show Services Ltd.  Please reference the Trade Show Exhibitor Kit for additional trade show items not provided as part of your booth.
 
Goodkey can manage all trade show advance material handling.  Please reference page 15 of the Trade Show Exhibitor Kit for full details and associated fees.  
 
Please Note: Westerner Park cannot accommodate advance material handling and shipments.

Wifi - Westerner Park

Shaw Internet customers can be instantly and continuously connected to Shaw Go Wifi by entering their shaw.ca email address and password into their mobile device while at Westerner Park. Once logged in, they will remain connected to all WiFi access points while within range of the network.
 
If you wish to have wifi at your booth, you can order directly with Telebyte Communications Inc., the official internet provider at the Westerner Park.

Complimentary Shuttle Service

The AFCA is providing complimentary shuttles from the Cambridge Red Deer Hotel and Sandman Hotel Red Deer to the Westerner Park on Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27, 2019

Shuttle schedules will be available on the mobile app and posted in the lobby of the two hotels and the Westerner Park.

Conference Mobile App

The AFCA is introducing  a Conference App at the AFCA 2019 Annual Conference and Trade Show.  The App will include the agenda; speakers; trade show floor plan; the ability to communicate between delegates, amongst other features.  Stay tuned as we get closer to the Conference and Trade Show.

Substitution and Refund Option

Registrations are non-refundable AFTER Thursday, April 26, 2019. If you are unable to attend the conference, a substitute participant from your organization may attend in your place.
