Eduard Muljadi (M’82, SM’94, F’10) received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. From 1988 to 1992, he taught at California State University at Fresno. From June 1992 to December 2017, he worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, CO. In January 2017, he joined Auburn University in Auburn, AL, as the James J. Danaher distinguished professor. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu and Sigma Xi, a fellow of the IEEE, the chair of the Advanced Pumped Storage Hydro Modeling Task Force on Dynamic Performance of Wind Power Generation, and is currently the chair of Renewable Energy Machines and Systems, of the Electric Machines subcommittee within the PES.

Peter Donalek is an electric power system engineer with Stantec Consulting Services (Chicago, IL). His experience includes ten pumped storage projects; including the world’s largest, Bath County in Virginia, and one of the smallest, the two unit 40MW Lake Hodges in California. As a member the DOE Wind and Water “Modeling and Analysis of Value of Advanced Pumped Storage Hydropower in the US” team, a technical reviewer of the “Advanced PSH Model Development” section and lead author of Appendix A “Technology Characteristics”. He is an IEEE Life Fellow and member of the IEEE Power Energy Society, PSDP Committee and a member of CIGRE. He earned a MSEE/MSc, University of Pennsylvania, MA Mathematics, University of Toledo (Ohio); and a BSEE from the University of Illinois.
