The world we live in is completely different now than it was just 10 years ago! Just think of whether we knew what digital & social media was 10 years ago?? These changes have had a huge impact on perception, especially in the visual system. We as Behavioral Syntonic Optometrist see this every day. Increasingly, our patients are not responding to our standard testing and therapy methods. The output of their functional visual fields are getting smaller. The number of applications they need to achieve sustainability is increasing. The questions which arise are: What can we do and how should we proceed? This is the genesis of my new two-part seminar.
This first part will be a journey into the basic underlying components of Syntonic Optometry linked to Behavioral Optometry.
We will cover aspects of basic observations and evaluations of patients with different vision problems. We will interweave the findings of the Functional Color Field (this test method will be explained in depth), Alpha-Omega Pupil, OEP 21 Pts, Retinoscopy, VO-Star, developmental testing, and much more. I will then relate this back to Skeffington‘s principle of the four Circles.
What do we actually really measure? How do these findings relate to our patients in terms of posture, motor sensory and visual function?
The seminar will prepare the attendees to immediately apply newly-learned skills in their own practices.
***** Please bring along for the workshop your: Retinoscope, Brock String, Penlight (no LED) and black functional field sheets *****
