The Royal Canadian Mint's headquarters occupy the historic building in central Ottawa where the Mint was founded in 1908. Today, the Ottawa facility produces hand-crafted collector and commemorative coins, gold bullion coins, medals and medallions. This is where the master tooling is done to create the dies that strike coin designs for both circulation and commemorative issues. The Mint's gold refining and advanced engineering operations are also located here in Ottawa.

1.5 hour Boat tour on the Ottawa River. Time at your discretion
This Ottawa River cruise offers the finest views along the River. With departures from the Ottawa Dock, located at the foot of the Ottawa Locks, this 1 1/2 hour tour is the most thorough tour available on the water.
The Paula D is ideal for an excursion. You have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscape of Ottawa and relax and enjoy a nice cold beverage on the large upper deck. In addition, on the lower deck, passengers will find the canteen and bar. The cruise offers a spectacular view of the city and allows you to see the river as it was used long ago: as a highway to transport resources.
