Welcome to the PACT Conference 2013 - Connecting the Dots
PACT's annual conference is our primary professional development event consistently attracting over 100 members to the four day event. The conference provides you the best opportunity to meet and connect with colleagues from across the country, to participate in important governance decisions at the AGM, and to engage in personal professional development. The conference provides both formal and informal networking and discussion time including the Annual General Meeting, facilitated professional development, Caucus Day, committee meeting time, Hot Topic Dine-Arounds and social time.
Connecting the Dots...
Picture yourself (or your company) as a "dot" on the Canadian theatrical landscape. If that "dot" represents your professional responsibilities, or your company's artistic vision or creative process, your geographic location, the size of your budget or the number of seats in your house how would that affect where or how you placed your "dot"?
Now imagine how you would you connect to the dots of your colleagues from across the country. Are your connections based on commonalities or differences? Financial or artistic necessity? Have you considered how to connect with dots to which you don't currently connect?
Members that attend the PACT conference consistently identify 'connecting' and 'networking with their peers' as the number one reason for attending the annual event. Our theme of Connecting the Dots focuses the discussion on what 'connecting' and 'networking' means and provides a framework to utilize the opportunities that we have within the PACT membership and throughout the artistic community. Connecting the Dots is about individuals and companies coming together from across Canada to participate in discussion, dialogue and debate.
The PACT Conference and AGM has provided an opportunity for members to connect for over 35 years now. This year we’ll meet in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia greeted by our co-hosts at The Belfry Theatre and Puente Theatre from May 22 to 25, 2013. We have reserved a block of preferred rate rooms at the Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel and Marina. Wherever you placed your dot on the map, we hope you will come connect with your colleagues in Victoria.
