Put on your dancing shoes!
Join us for Dinner and Dancing at historic
Fort Calgary.
Fort Calgary is located on 40 acres of parkland on the eastern edge of downtown Calgary. This is the place where the modern city of Calgary began! Explore colourful stories of Calgary's past in the Interpretive Centre. Discover this National Historic Site and take a stroll around the RiverWalk to the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers.
With trailblazing heroes like Chief Crowfoot, who strove to protect his people, Colonel James Macleod, who gave Calgary its name, and George King, Calgary's second mayor, and iconic buildings like the Deane House and the Hunt House, it's clear how important Fort Calgary history is to our future. The Fort Calgary site tells many stories including the history of the RCMP, Hudson's Bay Company, Métis culture and the city of Calgary.
