Brief Description
In this workshop participants will learn to frame learning around authentic challenges. Learn how to move learning from fake to real by using relevant and enticing provocations to inspire awe and wonder in your students.
 
Detailed Description:
By the end of the summer, participants will be learning to :
  • Frame learning around authentic challenges
  • Use relevant and enticing provocations to inspire awe and wonder in children
  • Move learning from fake to real
  • Sequence a series of curriculum challenges to help develop deep understanding of the curriculum
  • Make effective use of learning launches to initiate and sustain student inquiry
  • Teach the five intellectual tools that help all students experience success
  • Integrate a Thoughtbook in the learning process to encourage innovation, risk taking and on-going forward reflection
