In this interactive experience participants will use drama, inquiry and technology to explore the stories and experiences of people from the past. Join us as connect the revised Ontario curriculum to create characters and make their stories come to life.
Detailed Description
Journey though the eyes of the past as a way to connect with the present and future. In this interactive experience participants will use drama, inquiry and technology to explore the stories and experiences of people from the past to create characters and make their stories come to life through exploratory movement culminating in a museum experience. Historical perspectives and sources will be explored as connected to the revised Ontario curriculum. (Grade 4-8 Social Studies, History, Geography & Grades 9-12 Social Sciences and Humanities).
By the end of this Summer Institute, participants will have a greater understanding of character creation through drama and take home a resource package to guide themselves and their students through the creative process.
