Building and Maintaining an Asset Management Plan

This workshop will demonstrate techniques, approaches and benefits that communities can take away in order to develop and maintain industry best practice asset management plans and programs. By adopting a holistic approach that includes prioritization, risk modeling and the eventful inclusion of all asset categories, First Nation communities can make longer term capital operation and maintenance decisions that provide for better levels of services and maximize the value for each dollar spent on infrastructure.
Also, methodologies and technologies that maximize the benefits from developing the AMP including PSD’s Asset Management Self-Awareness Tool, Critical Activities Path and Enterprise-wide Asset Management suite of software applications will be presented. Case studies will be used to present the return on investment (RIO) achieved from good asset management practice
Asset Management is a journey, it requires a talented and cross divisional team, support from Chief, Council and senior management and fully integrated technologies.
