Asset Management Planning with Geospatial Data
Date: Wednesday, August 26 2015
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Land Information Ontario (LIO) is a program in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. LIO coordinates and facilitates access to geospatial data that is collected and maintained by the Ontario Government. Geographic information about Ontario is made available to First Nations and many other public sector organizations at no cost so they have the best possible data for their geographic information systems (GIS). Over 200 geospatial data sets are provided through the Ontario Open Data initiative. Other data is made available through the Ontario Geospatial Data Exchange. LIO also coordinates the acquisition of high-resolution imagery for Ontario through partnerships that are developed with public and private sector organizations across the province. This presentation will provide an overview of the data, programs and services that LIO can provide to First Nations in Ontario.
