This session will examine the various environmental regulations and legislation that apply on-reserve including those made under the Fisheries Act, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. We will also look at the gaps in regulation as it applies to various components of the reserve including water, waste management, drinking water wells, and land management.
