Presenters: Dr. Denise Larsen and Dr. Wendy Edy - Hope Studies Central, University of Alberta 
In this decade we have become trauma aware and informed, and, we have been working to help our students and school communities affected by many types of trauma. By exploring and practicing Hope-based Language with our students we will help shift the mindset to possibilities, and yes, hope for the future.

The Flip Side of Mindfulness: Do No Harm
Presenters: Mary Frances Fitzgerald and Kim Hertlien

Have you heard the phrase, “one size fits all”? This is not the case for the many forms of mindfulness. Meditation and Mindfulness leaders/teachers need modifications to allow trauma survivors the path of choice and agency on their journey to growth. Join us for a discussion and participate in a mindful trauma aware practice.
